Ambre began piano studies at the age of 3 and gave her first public concert at age 5. She has set a World Record which she still holds, as she have completed her Associate and Licentiate Diplomas by the age of 12 having studied under the tuition of her mother.

"I first started helping my mother teach some of her younger students when I was around 10 years old and preparing for my AMEB 8th grade classical piano exam. I observed from a very early age how relevant the playing of an instrument could become in a child's life, encouraging sensitivity, awareness, love of nature, deeper understanding of the arts, literature and the closeness of music to the world of mathematics weaving a wonderful web of interest that could support an entire lifetime of joy brought on by the appreciation and love of the value and content of music. Whilst discipline and structure is vital for a high standard of music-making, the importance of having fun as a young student is of the utmost relevance when it comes to my approach to teaching."

At 16, she received the First Prize in an International Music Competition held in Argentina, South America. She recorded and released a CD of music by Franz Liszt titled ‘Devotion’ which was funded by Australian artist Arthur Boyd who was astounded with Ambre’s natural ability and  invited her to be first Artist-In Residence at his Shoalhaven Property ‘Bundanon’ on the South Coast of Australia.

In 2006 Renowned Hollywood film writer and composer Lalo Schifrin was commissioned to write a unique Double Concerto for Jazz Trumpet, Classical Piano and Symphony Orchestra especially for Ambre and James Morrison. In 2008, Ambre traveled to New York to record the music of outstanding American composer, Patrick Zimmerli at the legendary Studio’s of Rudy Van Gelder, working with Producer Don Sickler and Van Gelder himself.

She is also the founder of GIRL PIANO TRUCK (www.girlpianotruck.com) The vision of this long-term project involves presenting concerts in remote locations worldwide.
